Hailing from Canton, Ohio, Macy Gray remains an undeniable force of nature, selling out venues in nearly every corner of the globe two decades into her storied career. One of her most important roles is that of an activist and mother. Macy is a champion for change and mental health advocacy. She is committed to using her platform as an artist to be a voice for those who cannot speak or be heard
MyGood, founded by Macy Gray in 2020, is an effort to bring some good to the families who have lost loved ones due to police violence. Regardless of the circumstances that end a life through contact with the police; the effect on the families is devastating – emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. MyGood is NOT an anti-police organization. We are here to do as much as we can for grieving families.
This Saturday, October 24, Grammy award winning singer Macy Gray will host the inaugural Halloween Bingo Bash fundraiser, to raise funds for MyGood.org, the non-profit organization dedicated to support the families of victims of police brutality as they face many unfortunate challenges after the death of a loved one. The foundation helps ensure that families directly impacted by police brutality get the needed emotional and financial support as they move forward. On Saturday, October 24 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET, players will be able to get into the Halloween spirit a week early during the online Zoom bingo event.
Hosted by Gray and Demi Weitz (daughter of WME partner/agent Richard Weitz and founder of Quarantunes), the evening will include special celebrity guest appearances and performances from musician Sheila E., comedians Wanda Sykes and Maz Jobrani, actor Page Kennedy, financial expert Suze Orman and more. The evening will also include a costume contest, scavenger hunt for prizes and a live performance from Gray. Funds from the foundation are used to defer costs of hospital and funeral bills that weigh heavy on these families
