A visionary leader, Joan Gosier has always been one to march to the beat of her own drum. Dreaming big has never been a problem for her. In fact, it’s always been one of her life long goals. Having satisfied her own desires to be a leader in the field of business, Joan achieved her goal of obtaining her MBA in International Finance and Marketing from the University of Michigan early on in her academic life.
After traveling throughout southern Africa while working for various fortune 500 companies, Joan realized that she had much more to offer the world than what her past employer’s succession plans would enable her to directly make an impact in the world at large.
Success in the corporate world taught Joan a great deal about life and the person she wanted to be. Over time she learned that there was more to life than just material and professional assets. Yet, there was still more to do. That something more eventually became HBCU Kidz, Inc.
As the proud mother of 3 beautiful African American girls, Joan knows that the education of our children is much more than a top priority. It is an aspect essential to the forward motion of our society, our nation, and the world overall. With this thought in mind Joan, the proud graduate of an HBCU herself, realized that the cultivation, promotion, and protection of our HBCU institutions of higher learning were an essential faction of the future survival of African American gifts and talents within modern society. Joan’s commitment to this mission led her to create the HBCU Kidz, Inc. team of Consultants.
The HBCU kidz, Inc. team of consultants help Historically Black Colleges (HBCUs) and Churches connect their past to the culture of FUTURE DREAMERS, LEADERS AND ACHIEVERS. The INDEPENDENT TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS (ITOP) specializes in an analytical and objective approach with a focus and emphasis on hands-on efficient implementation. The team uses creative tools and talents of the diverse workforce of the 21st century. As founder, Gosier is a product of an HBCU, a product of a variety of past church homes and a product of a highly ranked International Finance MBA program. Her ITOP combines over 300 years of career expertise and directly related education.
A huge undertaking, but it’s one Joan is ready and prepared to handle. With the support of her family, dedicated team of HBCU Kidz, Inc Consultants, and her life partner Tommy Gosier, Joan Gosier is committed to achieving not only her company goals but the fulfillment of the plan and vision set before her by God, her ultimate supervisor, inspiration, and boss.
