Dr. LaTandra Blue is a therapeutic optometrist, born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Dr. Blue earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2013 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Blue’s training and experience have prepared her for the challenges of primary eye care and the use of technology in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases. She has extensive knowledge in ocular disease, cataract and LASIK pre and post-op management, low vision, and pediatric eyecare.
Dr. Blue is committed to the field of optometry by her active involvement as a member of the American Optometric Association, the Alabama Optometric Association and the Birmingham Optometric Society. Dr. Blue also serves in the United States Army Reserve as a Captain in the Medical Service Corps.
Dr. Blue is married to Pastor Camara Blue and they have two children together, McKenna and Camara, II. Dr. Blue is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Junior League of Birmingham.
