The Winning Edge Co-Founders Corinne Milien and Maria Taylor are Today’s Honoree for Friday July 9th, 2021

WE Career Development:

WE are committed to providing experiences that enhance the career development for minority student-athletes and their post-graduate success. During our career development programs, [Game Changers] build their network and participate in exercises designed to assist them as they begin or continue their journey in sports and entertainment.

Our signature event is the Game Changing Retreat. A challenging, four-day professional development experience in Atlanta, GA designed for current and former minority NCAA/NCJAA/NAIA student-athletes who have a desire to work in sports and entertainment. Game Changers learn from industry mentors, engage in small-group career preparation, break bread with established veterans while having a little with trap yoga and a golf lesson.

WE Co-Founders:

Corinne is a veteran, former coach, and adjunct professor who has experienced the benefits of mentors and a network of influence. Working as a graduate assistant for Pat Summitt and The University of Tennessee women’s basketball team, this product of Haitian immigrants saw first hand how people can influence the journey of student-athletes beyond the game. Corinne is the Director of Membership, Partnership, and Program for the Pro Sports Assembly.

As a former All-SEC volleyball player and women’s basketball player at The University of Georgia, Maria knows the demands of student-athletes both on and off the court. Currently one of the faces for ESPN’s College Game Day and NBA Countdown. Maria has the platform and experience to provide an example for student-athletes as they begin their journey in sports and entertainment.
