1 in 6 people aged 35 – 54 are unhappy with their career. “If this is the next 30 years of my life, is this enough?” Piturro asked herself in 2001 at the height of a very successful marketing career in New York City. A voice that she now calls the heart-voice connection told her, “No.” After donating her time at a homeless shelter, Piturro recognized the need that children have for pajamas and a bedtime story to help them feel secure and loved. Pursuing her calling, she quit her promising career, took the leap and founded the hugely successful Pajama Program.
