Pann’s Restaurant Owner Jim Poulos is Today’s Honoree

Historic Pann’s Restaurant located at 6710 La Tijera Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045 has been a community fixture for serving great food at great prices for 60 years.  This landmark restaurant has been featured in such films as “Bewitched”, “XXX”, “Next”, HBO’s “Insecure” and “Pulp Fiction.”

To celebrate, its’ 60 years, owner Jim Poulos wants to “GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY” with a “COMMUNITY CHALLENGE benefitting Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles “(ICYOLA).   THE GOAL…. TO RAISE $60,000!

Giving back to the community is not new.  Pann’s Restaurant has supported numerous organizations throughout the years to include:  Ladera Presbyterian Women, Manly Deeds Scholarship Fund, Motivated Men of Dorsey High, The Children’s Clinic, The Liquid Project, Churches and the area’s local schools to name a few.

Poulos created the PANN’s Community Challenge, which this year will benefit ICYOLA.

“I am so happy to be celebrating Pann’s’ 60th anniversary with all of you. Los Angeles and our neighboring cities have always supported the restaurant and I feel so lucky to have been able to become a part of each community, and for all of you to be a part of Pann’s. Nothing makes me happier than to see young people achieve their dreams and just like I encourage my daughters to do their best and thrive, I encourage the community’s young people to be hardworking and courageous, because you are my kids too and I’ll always do whatever I can to help you get there.

I’ve watched so many kids grow up in Pann’s and I hope other businesses get to have the same experience because this is what connects us. To honor our 60th Anniversary, we seek to raise $60,000 for ICYOLA’s Music Programs. We are kicking off the challenge with our own contribution of $20,000.I ask you to join me by making a donation. Help us keep music and the arts a part of every child’s life and a vital part of this community where we live, work, eat and thrive.” Jim Poulos

Yes… to start to the challenge off, Poulos has donated $20,000 of the $60,000!.  Now, it’s the community’s opportunity to join the challenge.   Community members can support by donating themselves and then share the information via social media to others.
