Georgette Dixon is a Senior Vice President and Director of National Partnerships, where she is responsible for managing a portfolio of 12 national nonprofits that deliver advocacy, programs and services for low- to moderate-income communities and diverse groups. Through collaboration with internal partners, Dixon and her team develop strategy, provide consulting and structure funding recommendations to build community brand and corporate reputation, while facilitating cross-enterprise engagement with national partners. National Partnerships is part of Wells Fargo’s Government and Community Relations Group. This group, which includes government relations, philanthropy, community development, diversity and inclusion, volunteerism, stakeholder engagement and environmental affairs, focuses on strengthening customer relationships and improving economic prosperity and quality of life for everyone in the communities Wells Fargo serves.
Since joining the legacy Wachovia organization in 1994, Dixon served as marketing manager for Wholesale Banking, Small Business Banking and Commercial Banking and as Director of Emerging (multicultural) Markets. She also served on the Corporate Diversity Council for 6 years. In 2013, she received the National Urban League Donald H. McGannon Award for her for her commitment to ideals and beliefs in equal opportunity, In 2005, she was recognized as one of U.S. Banker magazine’s Most Powerful Women to Watch. She also served a two-year chairmanship for Opera Carolina and served as a governor-appointed board member for the NC State Property Tax Commission from 2009-2013.Dixon has a Bachelor of Science, with Distinction from Tennessee State University in Speech Communications and Theatre. She has a Boston College certificate in Corporate Community Involvement and resides in Charlotte, NC with her family.
