Intel Israel General Manager Maxine Fassberg is Today’s Honoree for Monday April 4th, 2016

MaxineMaxine Fassberg is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group, general manager of Intel Israel, and plant manager of Fab 28 at Intel Corporation. She is responsible for manufacturing operations, including planning, product output and cost effectiveness for Intel’s manufacturing facility in Qiryat Gat, Israel. She joined Intel in 1983.

Fassberg has held numerous positions at Intel, including Lithography engineer in the Fab 8 startup in 1983, and Engineering manager of Fab 18 since its inception in December 1995. As an engineer from 1991 to 1992, she was part of Portland Technology Development where she was awarded a patent for the original Polyimide process. From 2000 to 2004 she was the Fab 18 factory manager, along with Alex Kornhauser. Under their leadership Fab 18 won the IQA Award in 2004. She was the plant manager responsible for Fab 28 start-up and ramp on 45nm and for the upgrade of Fab 28 to 22nm. She has also received two Intel Achievement Awards in connection with inter-die electric material problem resolution.

Fassberg was inducted into the Women in Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame in June 2009 for her passionate contributions and commitment which enable and encourage other technical women to advance in their careers. Amongst other many prizes she was awarded with the Israel Industry Award for 2011 by the Manufacturers Association of Israel and the prestigious Hugo Ramniceanu Prize in Economics for 2012, and was identified as one of the 10 most powerful women in tech in April 2012 as published by CNN.

Fassberg received a master’s degree in Applied Chemistry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1978. She is engaged in many activities directed towards enhancing Intel’s brand and proliferating Intel values in the community. As such, she sits on the Managerial Committee of the Bank of Israel and the Board of Directors of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and also the Bloomfield Science Museum Jerusalem Board.

Maxine was recently seen on The Shalom Show  hosted by Richard Peritz that airs ABC TV-25 in PB every Sunday at noon (Prime Time); and nationwide on DirecTV, Comcast, Time Warner and other networks, every day of the week, reaching over 44 million homes.
