Dr. Gino Tutera is Today’s Honoree for Monday October 5th, 2015

DrGinoEven though I am an OB/GYN physician, I have studied and maintained a keen interest in endocrinology. In my nearly 30 years of medical practice, I have seen, read, and heard many opinions on hormonal therapy for menopause, andropause (male menopause) and PMS. This issue has become extremely confusing, especially for the general public. Frankly, I hope to eliminate the confusion and shine some light on a clearer path to hormonal balance and general well-being using pellet therapy.

It is my utmost goal to help physicians better understand the vital role that science plays in the treatment of hormonal deficiency. Unlike other methods, SottoPelle® is based in science. It is precise; it is individualized and it works with the body in a way the body recognizes. Hormone replacement should NEVER be based on guesswork, trial and error, or one-size-fits-all dosages. That kind of imprecision may sometimes provide short term relief of symptoms, but does nothing to achieve hormonal balance or the long term benefits everyone needs for healthy ageing. There is one prevailing myth that, above all else, I hope to dispel. That is the assertion I’ve heard repeated so often by self-proclaimed experts: that there have been no studies to show the effectiveness, safety or health benefits of using bio-identical hormones. This statement could not be further from reality! In truth, these biologically identical hormones have been extensively researched and studied since 1935, as indicated in the bibliography of each of my books. Bio-identical hormones have indeed been used safely and effectively for decades without the negative side effects that synthetics have always been known for and with far more health benefits.
