Karen Kingston is an executive strategist, writer and leader in the medical field, and the Chief Marketing Officer of IMMUDYNE. Since joining IMMUDYNE in February of 2013, Ms. Kingston repositioned the company as an immune health and wellness company and created an expanded product portfolio and pipeline, targeting multiple, multi-billion dollar markets. She created and commercialized the umbrella brand for the Company’s naturally-derived immune support product line, iNR Start products.
Ms. Kingston has a diverse and successful track record as a marketing and business development advisor for the pharmaceutical, device, biotech and diagnostic industries. She has worked across various medical sectors spanning from eye care and dermatology, to pediatrics and men’s health, as well as across immunology, infectious diseaseand other therapeutic areas. She is well-versed in AdvaMed, PhRMA, OIG Compliance, FDA and general industry legal guidelines.
In September of 2007, she founded Varitage, a strategic marketing and business development company specializing in thelife sciences industries. As President and CEO of Varitage, Ms. Kingston built Varitage into a multi-million dollar business. She led new business generation, creative development and served as an executive strategist to Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Medtronic and other healthcare companies.
Ms. Kingston began her healthcare career volunteering in a hospital pharmacy in 1995 and soon transitioned to being a pharmaceutical sales representative in Manhattan, NY, for Pfizer Inc. She quickly took her territory from near last in the Northeast region to number one and immediately transitioned into the marketing and advertising side of the business.
Ms. Kingston played an integral role in there-launch of Viagra as a lifestyle drug. The new campaigns targeted younger men and established the clinical relevance of sexual health to overall wellness.
Ms. Kingston formed her first marketing agency in 2001, KDI Consulting. KDI Consulting provided strategic, operation consulting, and creative development services to Fortune 500 companies, including Allergan, Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson; as well as East and West Coast advertising agencies.
Ms. Kingston has a long history of volunteering and doing non-profit work for children, women and those with chronic diseases. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Pace University, NY and was recently accepted into Harvard’s Executive Business Program in Boston, MA.
