Minister Jared Andre’ Sawyer, Jr. is the youth minister at Center Hill Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia where Reverend Waymon Martin, Sr. is the Pastor, He is also the President of Jared Sawyer Jr. Ministries through which he has a youth organization, a social media mailing list of inspiration, and preaches the Word Of God to as many God allows.
Minister Jared Andre’ Sawyer, Jr. has praised the Lord since he was 2 years old. He could sing songs of Zion before he could talk. He started reading the Bible at the age of 3. When he started attending Greenforest Christian Academy, his gift from God grew.
When Jared turned five, he asked to be baptized. In March of 2004, Jared came to his mother, and told her that he wanted to be a preacher. It was at that point that Jared began to go to different churches and take notes from the pastor. He then went home, did research, learned scriptures, combined songs, composed songs, and put them on the computer. For Christmas in 2004, Jared was blessed with a piano which he taught himself to play by ear. Jared now has numerous sermons that he and God have composed.
Because of God’s grace, Jared has been able to be on the Frank Ski and Wanda Morning Show; he was featured in BBC Broadcasting’s Company (The Child Preacher, and 80 Faith in 80 days) Fox 5, ABC Nightline, and many other media programs. He has been given the opportunity of speaking for the NAACP (the “I Have A Dream Speech”/City of Stone Mountain Parade and Rally), the City of Stone Mountain, National Black MBA, He has had the honor of meeting, associating, and becoming friends with Fred Hammond, William Murphy, Donnie McClurkin, Luther Barnes (speaker for Luther Barnes Fall Gospel Classic), Mary Mary, Tony Vaughn, Donald Lawrence, J. Moss, Leland Jones, Shirley Caesar, Producer Will Packer, Mo Ivory, and many more actors, gospel and secular artists, and public figures.
Even though he has gotten the opportunity to meet a lot of people, none of them are more important to him than God. Jared is now 15 years old and the number one thing on his mind is preaching the Word of God. Jared’s motto is “Praise Is What I Do”! and I know that God placed him on this Earth to do just that.
After completing high school, he plans to attend Morehouse College, and major in Theology and Religious Studies. His ultimate dream is to pastor his own church one day. If you ask him how he will do that, he will tell you that “I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me.”
