The proclamation reads in part, “Whereas, Mr. (John) Gregory has led the charge to respond to the health crisis of African American men in our urban communities, who experience higher rates of health disparities than any other ethnic group… Whereas, I commend John Gregory and the growing network of African American Male Wellness Walk events across our great state. From Columbus to Toledo to Warren to Youngstown and Dayton, thank you and the event sponsors for serving the specific and unique health needs facing African American men in Ohio.
The 9th Annual African American Male Wellness Walk was recognized by Columbus City Council on Monday, July 22, 2013. The Resolution was introduced by Council Member Priscilla Tyson (Tyson is pictured left with members of the Walk Planning Committee).
