Jeff Goldfarb a.k.a “The World’s Tallest Chef” Jeff suffers from both gigantism and Acromegaly but tirelessly has devoted many years to volunteering with various causes in his native Chicago. He his also an active chef volunteer with Meals on Wheels to help feed the elderly and disabled. He is an active volunteer chef with Chicago public schools teaching healthy lifestyle to help fight childhood obesity. Due to complications from his gigantism, Acromegaly, and recently discovered tumor on his pituitary gland he has retired from active service.
Chef Jeff Goldfarb is Chicago born native. He is 7 ft tall and wears a size 20 shoe. He is “The World’s Tallest Chef.” Jeff is a colorful, charismatic and talented chef. His career began at age 16 and has endured for 25 years. His father is a retired chef from Amtrak, and Jeff chose to become a chef instead of playing basketball. His high school basketball coaches did not take well to this decision.
He attended Joliet Jr. College and Johnson and Wales for Culinary Arts. Culinary school was the foundation for his extensive culinary expertise. In 1989 Jeff performed an internship for Walt Disney World which presented an opportunity to work opening task force of Pleasure Island. He has worked for Holiday Inn, The Fairmont Hotel, and had a long career working for The Chicago Downtown Marriott Hotel for 13 years. He has an advanced knowledge in International Cuisine, and is well versed in being a professional manager and mentor.
He has traveled and cooked in Seattle, Hawaii, Alaska, and Wyoming. His spontaneous and adventurous spirit contributed to his most recent position as chef at Laramie River Dude Ranch. Get him to tell you his story about the bull. In his present position he serves as a private chef to local clients and celebrities in the Chicago area.
