Today’s Honoree is Sylvia Villagran

Sylvia Villagran a native Angeleno, grew up with the “only Spanish spoken in the home,” rule and after years of therapy, she can now thank her parents for her serious bilingual skills. Those skills, along with the ability to switch her voice from sophisticated to urban hip have made Sylvia one of the most versatile voice actresses working today, in both the English and Spanish market. You’ve heard Sylvia Villagran in action as the current voice of  Toyrus in English and Spanish! Sylvia returned as the narrator for “Funniest Commercials of the Year 2011,” on TBS hosted by Isaiah Mustafa Dec. 14, 2011. Sylvia Villagran is currently the female promo voice for the Emmy award winning show “The Doctors,” “Celebrity Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune,” as well as several shows on the Mun2 network. Sylvia is one of the imaging voice for several radio stations throughout the country including X 96.3fm in New York/ Mix 98.3fm Miami, FL/ ZOL 107.9fm Washington DC/ Maxima 92.5fm Tampa, FL/ KQ 103fm Orlando, FL

Sylvia Villagran is one of LA’s top bilingual voice actors, also known as the voice of today’s Latina. This loving mother, wife, successful entrepreneur, and trend-setter, always takes time to help during the holidays. This Christmas, Sylvia Villagran joined other top voice talent to help raise money for children. The group gathered to record “’Twas the Night Before Christmas.” All sales and donations from the recording go to Prime Time Voices For Children– will benefit the Chase Child Life program at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA. For Sylvia, it’s an honor to be involved in such a great cause with her fellow voice over colleagues, where 100% of the proceeds will go to the Mattel’s Children’s Hospital at UCLA.
