He has been such an inspiration to all that he comes in contact with to be the absolute best that they can be. I’ve witnessed drastic changes in the lives of young, old, males, females and various nationalities alike through his charismatic influence. His motto is: I’m doing well enough to help someone else.
Though he is in pain 99% of the time, he chooses to bless others by giving of his time and other resources: food, clothing and funds. His various occupations and services has included being a dialysis patient advocate, psychiatric technician, drug and alcohol abuse counselor, marital and family counseling, prison ministry, street ministry (to include bikers, prostitutes, pimps…), and martial arts instructor. An ongoing list of successes continue to follow him everywhere that the soles of his feet tread. When Bishop Smims makes an entrance into a room he changes the entire atmosphere just by being present.
