With a reputation for challenging small visions and transforming them into global notoriety, Candace Reese is a nationally-recognized entrepreneur and inspirational speaker. Specializing in corporate and philanthropic strategy management, Reese has a strong track record in exceeding expectations. At the inception of her career, she quickly gained a reputation for her progressive sales and marketing techniques.

After several years in corporate and nonprofit public relations, marketing and advertising, Reese founded Envision Global Corporation to serve a diverse clientele list of individuals, organizations and corporate clientele by delivering leading-edge, innovative image building campaigns, with a global focus. Envision Global’s success lies in its ability to aggregate the corporate and philanthropic sectors, while bringing client visions to reality, and showcasing their unique styles through a multicultural lens. Having an affinity for representing socially-conscious clientele, through Envision Global, Reese has managed projects and provided unlimited business and lifestyle resources to a plethora of distinguished entrepreneurs, C-suite executives and philanthropists who have been featured in national and international multi-media outlets, including online/digital media, nationally-syndicated radio and television broadcasts such as: The Dr. Phil Show, FOX News, FOX Business News, NPR, CNN Headline News, CNN International, Discovery Health Channel, CNBC, TBS, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC and BET.

Outside of her work with Envision Global, Reese’s passion lies in her public speaking and community initiatives. As an advocate for children and young adults, she empowers young men with her inspiring words about etiquette and image, as well as young women on entering and maintaining healthy relationships. As a successful entrepreneur, corporately she engages with high school/college students, entrepreneurs and business executives on leadership, marketing, public relations, professional etiquette, and effective, next-level business practices.

Recognized as one of the 10 Women to Know in Atlanta, 2011 Fearless Female Entrepreneur, and Turnkett Leadership Character Award nominee, Reese is a well-known supporter of community organizations in Atlanta, GA, being frequently tapped by nonprofit and religious organizations to strengthen their image and media strategies for initiatives, conferences and goal-oriented campaigns.

When asked what her legacy is, Reese replies, “I want it to matter that I was born. I want to leave a legacy for my children, young people and single mothers, since I was one for many years. We’ve seen the dash between the time people are born and the time they die on tombstones. I want my dash to be significant. I don’t want my living to be in vain…”

Reese earned a degree in Mass Communications, with concentrations in Business Management and Marketing from Auburn University.

Bo is committed to giving back to his community, and to assisting those in need on a national level.

Before he was even born, Andrew Jackson Young, III was nicknamed Bo. His father called him that after the famed blues singer Bo Diddley. Bo was born in Atlanta, GA to Jean Childs Young, an educator and children’s activist, and Andrew Young, a preacher and then congressman of Georgia’s 5th district.

In March 2003, with his sound business practices and strong corporate contacts, Bo started Young Solutions Inc. a print communications company which continues to enjoy great success.

Bo is proud to serve as GiveLocally’s Chief Executive Officer. Combining his keen business skills with his strong passion to help others, Bo’s vision and leadership acumen will further GiveLocally’s mission to create efficiency and transparency as the leading on-line “point and click? Giving Platform designed to assist pre-screened families and organizations in need.

Bo is a member of First Congregational Church in Atlanta. He has been involved with Hank Carter’s Wheelchair Charities since meeting Mr. Carter in 1996. Bo is active in the Southwest Atlanta YMCA and sits on the boards of Drum Major Institute and “Why Tuesday?”

From 1956 until 1958 he worked as a panelist on a local program at KFRE-TV, Channel 12, in Fresno called “Open House” with Al Radka. His job was to judge new records for a program called “Traffic Pops.” He then became a co-host of the television program “TV Record Hop,” a local dance party show.

This television experience was gained while he was attending San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno. While attending Fresno State College, he hosted his own programs on both radio and television in the Fresno, Bakersfield and Monterey California markets.

In 1964 he left the broadcasting industry to join his father in the family produce business. Although his own produce business was very successful, the work did not fulfill him. As a result, he decided to return to his original field of interest – broadcasting.

In 1985, after a seven-year effort to obtain a construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission, he built Channel 59, KMSG-TV in Fresno. He left the produce industry to own and operate the station. At that time, KMSG-TV was an affiliate of the Spanish language network Telemundo. He sold that station in 1991.

In 1992 he formed Cocola Broadcasting Companies with the launch of KGMC-TV Channel 43, currently the Fresno market’s only high-power independent television station. Channel 43 is also carried on the Comcast Cable system on Channel 10. During the next several years he continued to build and now operates a total of 28 television stations.

Mr. Cocola is married. He and Juliana now reside in Carmel, California with daughter Sara and their Yorkshire terriers, CoCo and Minnie.

Most people do not realize that in the United States bladder cancer is the 5th. most prevalent cancer in both men and women. Based on rates from 2005-2007, 2.39% of men and women born today will be diagnosed with cancer of the urinary bladder at some time during their lifetime. This number can also be expressed as 1 in 42 men and women will be diagnosed with cancer of the urinary bladder during their lifetime. There are approximately 600,000 men and women today in the U.S. who are survivors of bladder cancer. The estimated new cases and deaths from bladder cancer in the United States in 2010 are: New cases: 70,530 and Deaths: 14,680.
Because there was little information available when she was diagnosed with bladder cancer, she has made it her mission to make a difference and change this.

“Since I was diagnosed with bladder cancer, I have interacted with many women and men who also had the same thing,” says Ramsey. The more I interact with people in all walks of life, the more I realize how little people know about this type of cancer.

Sixteen years ago, Ramsey experienced a life changing bladder infection. The blood that was noticed in her urine did not go away. The antibiotics did not solve the problem. Eventually she saw an urologist and underwent medical tests that showed she had bladder cancer, an invasive type that penetrated the muscle wall of her bladder. A surgery to remove her bladder included a radical hysterectomy, was followed by reconstruction to
rebuild a bladder using a section of her colon, and is referred to as an Indiana pouch. A section of her small intestine was used to connect to the umbilical site. It makes for an excellent cosmetic result and is easier to catheterize.

I have been very lucky, I have not experienced follow-up infections, but I was thrown into early menopause and body image concerns, says Ramsey. Writing has forced me to look as what is really important “Living life, not necessarily the weighty things that distract us.” Her writing became a way for her not only increase awareness of bladder cancer, but provides a way to raise funds to support the American Bladder Cancer Society of which she
is Vice-President.

Since she was diagnosed with bladder cancer, she has written three books: Pulse Points of a Woman’s World (a book of poetry), An Underground Jewell (an espionage novel set in the near future) and her most recent book, Merchild Land which is a picture book in full color. All of the monies earn from the sale of her books go to the American Bladder Cancer Society. Her latest goal is to raise at least $12,000 with her latest book.

Ramsey has become an avid speaker about importance of knowing the symptoms and risk factors for bladder cancer. Blood in the urine and urine frequency are symptoms that should not be ignored. Urologists have tests to pinpoint the cause of the symptoms. Bladder cancer has the highest recurrence rate of all cancers. Ramsey also says that individuals with a history smoking, exposure to chemical dyes, arsenic and other chemicals are all at risk for bladder cancer. Medical studies have shown that firefighters, hairstylists working with permanent dyes, leather and textiles workers are among the occupations linked to bladder cancer.

Even when the medical care is excellent, there are still emotional issues that bladder cancer patients experience that are not addressed. There are no local bladder cancer support groups. There are no marathons or large fundraising events to support this type of cancer. However, there is a place for patients, caregivers and family, the website: of the American Bladder Cancer Society where bladder cancer patients can share stories, chat and share, gather information and keep up with the latest research.

Her life has been made up of many careers: farmer, cosmetologist, wife, mother, grandmother, woodworker and now author.

Howell’s dream to write was birthed years ago while she attended the University of North Alabama. Unfortunately, no sooner than her dream was realized, it again died, as family crisis pulled her into another direction: woodworking.

Howell went on to become the owner of Southern Ladies Showcases, a business that specializes in hand-crafted custom display cases to fit every collection and hobby.

Rising to the top of a man’s profession, Barbara didn’t allow handicaps, personal tragedy or financial devastation to stop her. She persevered and today her display cases are in homes and businesses around the world.

Years later, after stabilizing the successful business, Howell picked up her pen and again began to write. This time, however, she truly had a story to tell. Howell’s first book, “Splinters: The Pain, The Passion, The Point” tells the story of her life.

Today, Howell spends most of her time, speaking and promoting Splinters, but still manages to find time to write for several magazines and is currently working on her second full-length book.

Howell is a member of the Tulsa Night Writers, The RHEMA Writers Bloc, The Fellowship of Christian Writers and the Oklahoma Writer’s Federation, Inc.
